Learn for Life School of Motoring

Richard: "I learnt to drive with Richard 3 years ago. I then needed my B + E towing licence, so took a course with Richard in Grimsby. The standard of driving required is a lot higher, and I don't think I would have passed it without taking the towing course. It is important to know what the examiner is looking for, and they expect you to be good at planning well ahead. Richard also showed me how to do the reverse exercise and the right way of doing the coupling. I enjoyed the course, it has improved my driving and I would recommend Learn for Life, as he got me through first time." Sam T. - Market Rasen 14th March 2012.

Richard: "I really enjoyed learning to drive with Richard. He was professional, patient and understanding. His approach was extremely thorough and I felt safe at all times. He was also very flexible when arranging lessons. Nothing was too much trouble. I passed my test first time after six months, despite not always managing a weekly lesson. Richard: "I took a semi intensive course to learn to drive in Lincoln and had a fantastic time learning with Richard. He was very patient and tailored lessons, made objectives and targets to meet my learning style. I have now passed my test (1st time) with only three faults and have the confidence to carry on developing my driving skills. Richard: "Being a tractor driver I am used to handling large vehicles, and reversing trailers is no problem. But the B + E course taught me to drive correctly, to test standard. Richard: "I initially took lessons with a local Grimsby area driving school. After being let down by my first instructor, who left at short notice, I was given another instructor who taught me up until my first test, which unfortunately I failed. I decided to take a break from lessons and practice in the family car, but was still unsuccessful. At this point I had lost most of my confidence behind the wheel and I was thinking of giving up. However, after realising that this was not an option, we started looking around for intensive courses and found "Learn For Life". We booked a two hour assessment lesson with Richard and worked out a lesson plan. I found Richard's teaching style to be far superior than I had previously experienced, and we got on really well. I had a number of two hour sessions over the following few weeks, where Richard helped me to improve my overall driving skills and rectify my weak areas. With my confidence regained, I re-took my test and passed with only two minor faults, at which I was overjoyed. I personally feel that if it wasn't for Richard I would still be driving with "L" Plates. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for an instructor with a professional approach. Richard is dedicated to help you drive safely and competently on the roads, not just how to pass the test. I look forward to taking Pass Plus with Richard in the near future." Richard: "I needed my B + E for work, so I took a B + E trailer towing course in Grimsby with Richard. I knew I would be ok with reversing, but wasn't so sure about the driving, though I am a fairly confident driver. I was glad I took the course, it would have been tricky without! Richard: "I recently had an intensive driving course of 27 hours with Richard during my Christmas school holidays. We started a few days before my 17th birthday on the aerodrome, which I would recommend to everyone. I felt this gave me a huge head start before venturing out on the roads, and it was great fun. I then had 6 lessons over a 3 week period, around the Skegness area, and passed my test first time with only 1 driving fault. Richard constantly emphasized the importance of "learning for life" not only preparing me for my test but making me safe for the many years ahead on the road. Richard: "I took my B + E trailer test in Grimsby with only a small amount of preparation, and didn't pass, but then I took a course with Richard and passed it with only two driving faults. I was always going to be fine with the reversing, but the driving part of it is tricky without taking instruction. Richard: " I had to re-take my test, and knew that I would have a lot of bad habits, and wouldn't always be driving correctly. So I took an assessment lessons and some tuition with Richard to get ready. It has improved my driving a lot, and I not only passed first time, but had no faults at all recorded by the examiner! Richard: "I started learning to drive with Richard Fisher after leaving another driving instructor whom I was unhappy with. I really struggled with most aspects of learning to drive. Richard however, was always patient with me and gave me techniques to help me overcome the difficulties I was experiencing. Even though it took me another two years before I was ready to take my test, (partly because I am away at University in the term time), I passed first time. I had driven on rural roads a bit, but found busy towns a bit daunting at first, as it was so different, and I found it quite hard. Richard: "I am now 35 and I had my first ever driving lesson when I was just 17, 2 failed tests& hours and hours of driving later I never thought anyone could get me through my test, so after 13 years of not driving I found Richard via the internet, I booked a 20hour intensive course with Richard in Lincoln with my test booked at the end of the course, Richard is an amazing instructor, he gave me the belief and confidence in myself that I could do it, he not only taught me how to drive, but how to be a good safe driver.
