The old driving test centre in Louth closed in February 2011, however the DSA have opened a 'drop-in' test centre at the Meridian Leisure Centre in Wood Lane, Louth, which started in July 2011. This is for an initial trial period of 12 months, with tests generally two days per week. Louth is a great place to take your intensive driving course.

What are the advantages of an intensive driving course?
- You may need your licence within days or weeks
- The learning process is usually much quicker, so more cost effective and is kept moving forward, each and every day, often reducing the number of driving lessons needed overall.
- Instead of taking months you may wish to get it out of the way quickly, so you can concentrate on other studies if you are a student
- If you are working full time, a course could be taken during leave, instead of after work or at weekends, when it would be more drawn out
- You know what the costs are going to be, so you can finance it within your budget
- You can pay for your intensive driving course via PayPal
What is 'Intensive' or 'Semi-intensive'?
- An intensive course would normally be between three and six hours per day, on consecutive days, leading up to the driving test
- A semi-intensive course would be either a couple of hours each day, or say two hours three days a week
- Whatever you choose, it must be right for you. Everyone is different, and people learn at different rates, and in different ways
- It is sometimes helpful to break the tuition down into two or more sections, this sometimes takes away the pressure of a test looming just a few days away. Others prefer to do it all in one go
- We can advise you, and help you to decide what would suit you best
How quickly can I start an intensive course?
- To book a practical driving test, you must have first passed the theory & hazard perception test. If you need help with this, we can advise, and book it for you if necessary
- The next step is to decide where you wish to take the practical test, and when you are free
- We can then book a test for you, and arrange the tuition
- Whether you have driven before or not, we can advise you on a suitable course
- If you have some experience, or have already taken a test, it would be very helpful to take an assessment lesson. This will give a more accurate idea of how many hours you may require
- A two hour assessment costs £42.00 (Pay online via PayPal)
Courses
We will create an intensive driving course that suits your requirements, from just a few hours, to a full course of maybe 35 or 40 hours for complete beginners. With One-to-One tuition, you will have the undivided attention of an experienced, professional driving instructor guiding you through from start to finish
The table of suggested intensive courses below is only a guide, and can be adapted to suit your individual needs. "Intensive" does not have to mean "pressure" - we can spread it out, so that you can be certain you are ready for the practical driving test at the end - talk to us.
"Pre-booking / reservation of practical driving tests".
Please note: Some intensive driving schools claim to be able to "reserve" a car driving test appointment, by "pre-booking" prior to the candidate passing their theory and hazard perception test. This practice is NOT allowed by the DSA and there is no bona fide way of making such a booking legally. The DSA's policy is to pursue and prosecute anyone found using pupil details fraudulently in this way. It is only possible to book a practical car driving test if the candidate has passed the theory test, and we will always abide by this rule.
