Pass Plus
For those of you who took driving lessons in Louth and have just passed your test with Learn for Life, another driving instructor in Louth, in Lincoln or elsewhere, you may wish to save 10% off your car insurance by taking a Pass Plus courses with us.
Remember that passing your driving test is just the first rung on the ladder, and further advanced driver training will help you to improve your skills and avoid accidents.
There are six modules covering:
- Town driving
- All weather driving
- Out of town driving and rural roads
- Night driving
- Dual carriageways
- Motorways
The course is normally undertaken in one day, with suitable breaks, and costs £130. Upon completion the DSA will issue a certificate and this can help you reduce your insurance premium.
Other Courses
Refresher Courses and Risk Awareness
If you passed your driving test some time ago, you may consider taking a refresher course to keep you updated with current road and traffic conditions, and undertake risk awareness driver training, sharpening your risk awareness skills. We can help you with your anticipation, recognising and dealing with hazards, based on the 'Roadcraft' system used to train police drivers.
We can also provide help for those who might want to improve their reversing and parking skills.
Motorway Lessons
If you took your driving test in Louth, or in Lincoln, you may never have driven on a motorway. For anyone wishing to drive on motorways for the first time, or to improve their confidence on these faster, busy roads, we can offer motorway lessons. A motorway session would normally last about 3 hours and costs £65.
B + E Trailer Towing in Lincolnshire
If you passed your driving test after January 1st 1997, and wish to tow a trailer with a gross weight above 750 Kgs, (check on the DSA website for exact details), then you will have to pass a B + E test. We can offer advice and tuition on preparation for the test.
The test includes a reversing, a braking and an uncoupling / coupling excercise. The standard of driving required is at least as high as that on the DSA car test, and it lasts a little longer. The test is conducted from one of the LGV test centres, the test fee is currently £115 for a weekday test.
